Terms for safe hidden hiring signals.
AltRefer exists to help people find warm paths in a hard market. The platform works only if candidates, insiders, and hiring leads keep signals safe, specific, moderated, and non-gossipy.
These beta terms are product guardrails, not a substitute for formal legal review before broad public launch.
- Use AltRefer to discover moderated hiring signals and request warm referral paths.
- Submit hiring hints only when they are useful, specific, and safe.
- Import public signals only from public career pages, ATS pages, or explicit public hiring posts.
- Keep referral requests respectful, short, and permission-based.
- No layoff rumors, firing claims, salary claims, company review content, blame, or gossip.
- No client-confidential, NDA, private Slack, internal document, or non-public information.
- No doxxing, named-person accusations, harassment, spam, or pressure language.
- No logged-in scraping, LinkedIn profile scraping, or automated collection from gated job boards in V1.
- AltRefer does not guarantee interviews, referrals, employment, or hiring outcomes.
- Signal confidence is a product estimate, not verified employment advice.
- Insiders can accept, ask for more context, redirect, decline, or stay anonymous.
- AltRefer may redact, reject, or remove any signal that violates safety rules.
- Signal Karma is non-monetary and private.
- Rewards may include priority alerts, better matching, reputation, and impact receipts.
- AltRefer does not pay bounties for hints because money would increase abuse risk.
